07/02/05 Andrew Lai - Whats
that you say? He's STILL in the club? Yep its me ;( In case
you haven't worked it out yet, this is a news page for the
website itself, not club news. Nothing special to say about
the site, just another update though they're coming less
regularly now. You can probably tell from the regularity
of the updates below. 2004 was a busy year ;(
25/07/04 Andrew Lai - Updating
the page as per usual... Change of logo and the message
board has now shifted over to MUSA, http://www.musa.net.au
26/02/04 Andrew Lai - Wow, it really has been a
long time :) Training for 2004 is back up, read about it
in the INFO section above. Would anyone in the club like
to update the page instead? If so, please email me!!!

Andrew Lai
- Haven't updated for a while, guess I'm getting a bit lazy
:( I'm going to make a PHP script for the news and events
section so that they can be updated by anyone - not just
myself using a WYSIWYG HTML editor. Also, we need more storage
space so I'll be asking Bill about that, hopefully he's
feeling generous :)
03/04/03 Andrew
Lai - Annual AGM held and a new committee has been elected
- congratulations! I have added a special 'Trophy Hall'
images section to remember the great venue we once had :(
I may start asking Katherine to update the site instead
of me, so be on the lookout for new content by someone other
than me. :)
10/02/03 Andrew Lai - Training for the year has started
at the new venue. Everyone is welcome to come! Further details
listed on the Info section.
Also, the forum has been changed to the 'Melbourne Uni Martial
Arts Forum' - feel free to post your questions/comments
in the aikido section.
30/11/02 Andrew
Lai - The map to the new venue
is here. It is Wilkinson Gym in building 189,
the Frank Tate building opposite the ERC library entrance.
Quite easy to find, it's under Bullwinkles stationary store.
29/11/02 Andrew Lai - Wow the year finished already!
We're not sure when training will finish for the year but
will send it out via the email when it's done. You can join
the email list by clicking on the 'INFO' option above. As
promised, I've added the dynamic gallery; if members want
an account to upload pics don't be afraid to ask for an
account. No programming knowledge needed, just click and
it'll generate the thumbnails and everything! I think that
just about does it for major site upgrades, lets hope that
the site will pass the test of time ;)
15/09/02 Andrew Lai - Congrats to those who passed
their gradings! More graded people, the better. About the
website, I've decided to add the powerful PHP
Gallery during the holidays. So expect to see a lot
of photos very soon! Finally, remember to join the forum,
more people needed for fun flame wars.
03/08/02 Andrew Lai - Semester
two has started! Therefore it's time to renew your membership.
Also, if you wish to keep up to date with the news, subscribe
to the email list as detailed in the info
section. This part is mainly for website news etc. and
hence will not be updated often. Finally I'm probably going
to add a pictures gallery section soon via some PHP script.
Suggestions? Email
me. :)
01/05/02
Andrew Lai - Due to lack of numbers, until further notice
Sunday training is cancelled.
27/05/02 Andrew Lai - The forum, tForum tForumHacks
Edition b0.92p4, is now up and running. I hope that it will
be very successful so please by all means use as much as
possible. Remember to thank Bill for the MySQL server which
made it possible!
20/05/02 Andrew Lai - Club Events Calendar is now
up! You will (hopefully) find that clicking on the option
will load up a new window. This will be updated by myself
and Bill. Also fixed up the odd error or two. Dinner day
is tomorrow!!! Bring your money, venue is the 1 metre pizza
place.
19/05/02 Bill Bretherton - A special day of training
is being held 25/05/2002. Sensai Dave Scott will be hosting
the day. Aiki-Kai's info sheet about the day is attached.
11/05/02 Andrew Lai - Bare bones of the site completed.
Awaiting the addition of the PHP message board and calendar.
For the meanwhile a link to the calsnet.net aikido calendar
will be provided. Likely this is a bad idea since it is
an external site but for the meanwhile it will remain so.
